We’re thrilled that you’d like to sell your work on Kerry Phillips! In order to get started, you will first need to send us a link or drop box folder to a collection, then we'll go over your work and create a dialog with you so you know what's up with your work & what our buyers and collectors are looking for. Then after that we'll create an artist account with your exclusive invitation, and then YOU will upload your bio, web sized artwork and build your variants. If you want us to do that,- there will be an hourly service charge up front.
Don’t forget to take some time to create your bio and back story, such as where you studied, your exhibition history, and an artist’s statement. This kind of information can increase your chances of selling your work and being noticed by our curators and potential clients.
How does shipping work?Once you sell an artwork, you will receive an email informing you of the sale. You will not need to schedule a date and time for our courier to pick up your printed framed and packaged artwork as we do all that production bs for you. I will have you upload the sized image to the server and voila! Off it goes to print. So you don't have to have your valuable images sitting on a server. Don’t worry about covering the shipping costs, as that is also included in the overall price in North America. You are only responsible for helping with the marketing of your product on social media and continuing to upload work on a regular basis.
How do I get paid? You will be able to request your payout 7 days after your artwork has been safely delivered to the collector. You can be paid by Interac transfer, or PayPal. Please note that payouts are typically fulfilled 14 calendar days from the FOB date. All you have to do is log into your account, connect with our office. We'll have probably sent you money before you get notice. This system is pretty dang quick.
Kerry supports the work of our curated & qualified fine art photographers. Once your work is approved by our curators, you will be notified and sent an invitation to upload your web ready images for display and you can sell your fine art photography here. If you also have retail (brick and mortar) gallery representation, we’re still happy to have you here, as we are an exclusively online gallery.
What can I sell on Kerry Phillips? We provide a platform for limited and open edition prints.
How does commission work ?If your work sells, Kerry Phillips will take a 35% commission on the net amount after production costs ,transaction fees and shipping. (don't worry, our shipping rates are crazy low and with fedex so they are in good hands.) If a promotional discount code is offered, the discount will be deducted from the price of the artwork and the 65/35 commission split will then be calculated, so that we are sharing the discount with you. Like all galleries, we offer promotional discounts from time to time as an incentive for new and returning collectors to explore the constantly updating selection of artwork on TSP. We know that offering promotions allows artists to gain the attention of collectors previously unaware of their work and a better chance to make future sales. With TSP's low commission, only 35% compared to the 50% most galleries take, even with a promotional discount, you earn more selling your work with TSP.
What size should my web images be?
No taller than 600px and no wider than 1540. Conformity is the best for the client when viewing on a page. If you are selling panoramas they view the best at 1540w x 513h 3:1
Do I need to watermark my images? I would recommended that you get a calligraphic expert to create a brand signature to A) make it yours and B) reinforce your name and brand. It's your images and brand that you are going to put up on here.
What If I suck at writing bios and such? Even tho I have an amazing back story?
Ahem, you are an amazing photographer if you are reading this. I bet you know an amazing writer that knows your story. Dig?
Just get it done. Times wasting.
